#Institutions Hold 10M+ ETH#
Institutional investors, public companies, DAOs, and ETFs currently hold over 10 million ETH—equivalent to approximately $40 billion in market capitalization. This massive amount is a concrete indicator of how seriously Ethereum is being taken in the financial world. ETFs alone hold over 6 million ETH, more than 5% of the total supply. Furthermore, institutional strategic reserves hold between 2-3 million ETH, worth over $10 billion. As all this ETH remains off exchanges, selling pressure is likely to decrease and price stability strengthened. However, while all this concentrated accumulation represents confidence in the Ethereum ecosystem and its future role as a financial infrastructure, the concentration of supply among a few large hands also raises some questions about its decentralization.
🤔 I think concentrating so much Ethereum in the hands of a few institutions could put positive pressure on the price, but it could also be a concern from a decentralization perspective. What are your thoughts?
