Google agrees to pay approximately $2.4 billion to acquire the AI programming startup Windsurf's technology licensing.

According to Mars Finance, on July 13, The Wall Street Journal reported that Google has agreed to pay about $2.4 billion for the technology licensing of AI programming startup Windsurf and to hire its CEO and some employees. This deal was reached after acquisition negotiations between Windsurf and OpenAI stalled.
